Fotinos Brothers Winery Charities

Fotinos Brothers Winery believes everyone has the power to make a difference. People, animals, and the environment need our help. We all have different means of helping whether it is monetarily, emotionally or simply by volunteering our time. We pride ourselves on being volunteers, caregivers, educators, and financial contributors. We urge everyone to look at the following websites and see if there is a way for you to also help affect our world in a positive way.

It promotes academic rigor, high standards, excellence in the Arts and Educational innovation. The institute crosses traditional boundaries by working in public, independent, parochial and alternative schools. Institute initiatives foster intellectual curiosity, the acquisition of knowledge, confidence, creativity, responsibility, and moral decisiveness.

Save-the-Redwoods League has never wavered from its primary purpose of acquiring and protecting redwoods. The league's objective, since its formation in 1918, is to ensure that these ancient forests survive and flourish forever. The league has assisted in the purchase of more than six of every ten acres of protected redwoods in California's State Parks. To date, it has helped preserve 165,000 acres of ancient redwoods. In addition to extensive work in the heart of the North Coast's redwood region, the league has also assisted the development of many parks in the southern range of the redwoods, including Portola, Butano, Big Basin, Julia Pfeiffer Burns, Wilder Ranch, and Limekiln State parks. The league is the only organization focused on conservation of the redwood forest throughout its natural range.

The American Diabetes Association is the nation's leading nonprofit health organization providing diabetes research, information, and advocacy. Founded in 1940, the American Diabetes Association conducts programs in all 50 states and the District of Columbia, reaching hundreds of communities. The mission of the Association is to prevent and cure Diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by this disease. The Association is also actively involved in advocating for scientific research and for the rights of people with Diabetes.

The Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society was established in 1927. It is dedicated to placing homeless animals with committed caretakers, promoting the humane treatment of all animals, and to developing healthy relationships between pets and people through education, training and counseling. The Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society humanely shelters and finds homes for adoptable animals. It also provides guardians the tools they need to make the relationship a successful one. It is proud to have maintained its goal of placing 100% of the adoptable animals into loving homes since the 1970's. It makes every effort possible to rehabilitate all animals, as well as offering assistance to other shelters and rescue groups through Supportive Animal Transfer and Spay/Neuter programs.
