Vineyard Manager Fotinos
Fotinos Brothers Winery
To say that Fotinos Brothers Winery Vineyard Manger, Danielle Fotinos, comes from bloodlines steeped in tradition and history would be an understatement. Danielle is a proud 12th generation American and a 4th generation Californian. Ms. Fotinos' familial descendants came to North America on the Mayflower, and therefore, can actually stake their claim to be "daughters of the American Revolution."
In 1846, Danielle's ancestors settled in the Napa Valley. The following year, they began farming in Carneros and have lived and thrived in the region ever since. Danielle's great- grandmother, Asa Chapman, was a friend of General Vallejo, who awarded the first land grants in the 1830's, and creating the area now known as the Carneros region.
Danielle was born in San Francisco and raised in Sebastopol, California. There she formed a passion for farming at a young age--raising livestock, milking cows, and shoeing horses--and took tremendous pride in her work throughout high school. She proudly enlisted in the Navy in 1996 and successfully completed her tour of duty in 1999. Later that year, Danielle enrolled at Napa College. She eventually earned her Associate Degree in Viticulture, and it was there that she met her future husband, Tom Fotinos.
Beyond the fields, Danielle gained invaluable winery experience while working for Napa Wine Co., Acacia, and Charles Krug wineries. Her well-rounded resume' in the industry took her from the bottling lines, to pouring wines in tasting rooms, and a supervisory role in quality control.
Danielle married Tom in 2002, and the couple welcomed the birth of their first child, a daughter named Charlie, in December of 2006.
Today, Danielle Fotinos finds much of her joy and satisfaction in the same places she did as a child…with family…outdoors…farming--making Danielle the perfect fit as full-time Vineyard Manager of Fotinos Brothers Winery.
